Home Desert Legend Dobermans East is committed to breeding the highest quality Family Protection Dobermans in the spirit of the Desert Legend tradition. Our dogs are well cared for and socialized. Our puppies receive the right level of attention and affection from the entire family, which results in a Family Doberman that is ready to enter your house and bond with you, protect you, and love you. We ship within the United States to major airports, we can deliver to New York, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Washington, D.C. New Jersey. Internationally, we ship to England, Scotland, Germany, and other parts of Europe. We understand the rules and regulations of shipping both domestically and overseas and will work with you to find the best solution for transporting your puppy from us to you. We welcome visitors, but only after we know that there is mutual interest in continuing the relationship. We make every attempt to keep our kennel clear of disease so that our puppies and dogs remain healthy.

Our Family Our family is a selection of high quality Dobermans that come from European and large breed Doberman bloodlines. All of our dogs are AKC registered and have an impressive lineage. Lobster – The ultimate stud dog, 105 lb. ,Level 3 Schutzhund champion. Russian best in show. High prey drive and intensity, a superior example of a European working Doberman Dyna – Super- sized impressive 95lb. bitch, elegant lines and big boned. She produces superior puppies with amazing drive suitable for Shutzhund or as protective member of your family. Reign - Super –sized majestic 95lb. bitch, majestic confirmation and hyper alert. Her puppies will have high drive and be classic examples of a working Doberman or a protective member of your family. Jayden – Over –sized athletic 85lb bitch, beautiful lines and amazing character. Her puppies will be very playful yet also protective of you and your family.

Up and coming ladies…. Mischief (Missy) - Missy was born November 21st. She is the offspring of Faith & Legend of Desert Legend Dobermans, both superior size dogs. Missy is showing great drive and intelligence and we are looking forward to starting her on obedience and schutzhund training. Aura – Born December 13th from Viper and Mercy of Desert Legend Dobermans ,both superior size dogs. Full of good energy, drive and affection, Aura is proving to be a balanced dog at a very young age.

Breeding Philosophy Our Breeding Philosophy is simple: Breed Doberman’s that uphold their original heritage as a working dog with sound physical characteristics, solid confirmation, and protection orientation. We breed dogs who have the potential to bond with every member of the family. Some of our puppies will have the disposition to become award winning Schutzhund, rescue or obedience dogs, while others will simply protect you and your family with their heart and body. We breed Doberman’s for the love of the breed. For this reason, we will not sell our dogs to just anybody. We want to know that the love and energy that we put into the breeding and training of our dogs and care for the puppies will be continued when they leave us and become part of your home.

All of our puppies will have their dew claws removed and their ears cropped unless a buyer prefers this to not occur. As a buyer, you will have the option to crop their ears in a choice of styles for an additional charge. All of our breeding Dobermans have their ears and tails cropped by a licensed veterinarian. Our Veterinarian uses laser technology to minimize the stress on the puppies.

Puppy Page We carefully plan our litters to produce the highest quality pups. We do not and will not over breed. Currently we have three litters planned for 2010. Typically we get 8 puppies per litter and they go quickly. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve them.

About the Breed The Doberman is an intelligent, noble dog recognized by the AKC since 1900. The natural instincts of the Doberman are to protect its owners/family. It is the only breed that was specifically developed and bred since the 1800’s to personally protect its human family. Its energy, intelligence, reasoning, ability to retain its training, and powerful stature are the perfect mix to create a dog that wants to serve and protect. Your Doberman will want to be with you. It will take its role as a devoted member of the pack seriously.

With more advanced training, these instincts have produced police and war dogs with and keen nose for tracking and search and rescue. The United States Marine Corp selected this dog as its “dog of choice” in WWII and there is a beautiful bronze of a life sized Doberman named “Always Faithful” in Guam at the war dogs cemetery.

The Doberman is a dog for the family that is willing spend time socializing their dog, taking it to obedience training and giving it extra exercise. Its intelligence and temperament needs this attention to keep it out of trouble! If you have the time and the ability to provide this training, you will be rewarded with an affectionate, loyal family dog like no other breed.
